Navi/XM Stopped Working on '05 TL
Hi All,
The navi & XM on my '05 TL stopped working, and of course this happened when my warranty had run out. It was working one minute, but after I parked, ran an errand, and restarted the car, it was unresponsive.
More specifically, when I start the car, the Acura Navigation screen withthe world shows up. Then the warning screen comes on, and after a minute or so, the "ok" button shows up. The problem is that I cannot select the "ok" button with the touch screen, nor with the toggle stick. Upon tapping the touch screen or toggle stick nothing happens, and the screen goes black after a period of time. I can bring this screen back up by pressing one of the side steering wheel buttons (the one that is supposed to allow me to make voice commands), but it goes black again after a period of time.
XM doesn't work at all either, as I hear nothing when I press the XM button. (yes I do have service with XM) The CD, and radio work ok, although sometimes these act a little funny, and I can't control the volume, change a station, or turn the radio off.
I've read about navi rebooting issues, but am wondering if anyone had issues similar to what I'm experiencing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I tried disconnecting the battery (cleaned the battery terminals while I was at it), and reconnecting...... No luck.
The system reset, downloaded information, and I was able to input the security code for the radio, as one is to use the radio preset buttons for this. When it came time for the Navi/XM though, the touchscreen was not responsive, nor was the toggle stick. DOH! At least I have a new screen (Enter Code) to stare at for the 10-15 seconds that it stays on before going blank....

I have a similar problem
My nav and radio aren't working in my 06. I'll check the fuses first, and then try pulling the negative cable to see if it helps.

Hi guys,
I know it's been a long time, but I'm updating just in case anyone has this problem in the future. It turns out that I had pennies in my cassette player. If any of you have kids, and start having electrical problems with the navi/tape/cd player, either check this yourself, or have the tech check/rule this out. The coins were shorting out the Navi, and radio's electronics.
Good luck to all.

Just saw this post about it and I'm having the same exact problem. No ideal why the button is working and I've disconnected the battery several times and the ipod docking cable along with Y adapter to the DICE...
