Navi update disc question

Navi update disc question
My car has a disc from 2005 and the 2010 disc should be out any day according to the myacura.com website. I wonder if I update the disc, will I gain any new features/functions or just new/updated roads/POI's only?
Thanks

Put in TL and then 2005. It will show your the lastest update which is 2009 but 2010 a the end of the month. I'm sure there will be updated maps and POI's but not sure about features.

I guess, I will wait to see what is new added to 2010 before I spend the money on a new disc.
Does anyone know how and where to get the promotional codes? I do not recall getting one when I sighed up to myacura.com etc, and I wonder if there are different way to get it, any discount would be nice, as the price is fairly steep - almost the cost of a decent Garmin unit

Considering your going from 05 to 10 why wait? It's going to have a whole bunch of updates for you........... Not sure about promotion codes. Perhaps someone else can chime in about those......

Still waiting for the winner of the "I SUCCESSFULLY MADE A COPY OF THE ORANGE DISC" contest.
$185 PLUS tax and shipping is highway robbery!
These discs shouldn't sell for more than $100. They'd sell more than twice as many as they currently are if the price was lowered to $100.

I'm just glad we don't have to pay 299 like the BMW guys... Wait that's me doh!

People won't be able to make a copy for quite a bit of time unless PTP/OTP burners become available to the public. I agree that the prices are somewhat outrageous, 150 or 125 would be a better price for the consumer while still having some profit left for navtec as it's a whole lot of work to continually scour the globe and make updates available.

Oh and by the way...BMW discs can be easily copied as well.
