Navi is slow, any help would be appreciated

Hello everybody and Happy Holidays.

Anyway in the past few weeks I have noticed that my Navi is a little slow, I pass the destination by about maybe 50 feet and then navigation states that I have arrived at my destination, so at first I did not really think anything of it, but since I use it quite often it really starts to bother me. If you look at the navigation as you drive you can clearly see that it’s not accurate, so it actually made me miss turns or pass my destination. So today I took it to the dealer, they could not fix it. The girl at the dealership said that everything is fine with the navigation, but since I have all of my windows tinted that could possible effect the accuracy of the navigation. So to that my question is, isn’t the brain or antenna for navi is on the roof and tints have nothing to do with it. Any of you had similar problems? I really want to fix this thing, I got used to the navigation being so accurate and I use it for work, that now it really starts to piss me off. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

^^^some tints contain metal which may cause interference with any transmitter. im not sure though.

and did you try resetting the navi? unplug the battery for a couple of minutes. make sure you have the radio and navi codes though.

and if its still under warranty, and this issue is not resolved, then i would suggest using another service center.

The antenna for the GPS is under the rear deck next to your right speaker so the tint could have an effect on it but doubtful. When was the windows tinted? Did it happen right after the windows were tinted? If no then I think the issue could be the brain or GPS antenna

The funny thing is, is that I've had my windows tinted for a year now since I bought the car and never had a problem with it. And now for some reason its, slow at first I thought it was the weather, it's been crappy in NY, but now the weather cleared and it's still slow. I don’t think the tints are the reason just because I've had them from the beginning, I'll try to reset the battery hopefully that will work. I'll keep you guys posted if anybody has any other suggestions please let me know.

Reset the navi drive by going into the service menus and re-downloading the software. See if that helps. If not you can adjust the navi system's signals through the correction menu.

press map, menu and cancel together for about 5 seconds, you will get to the diagnositics screen. Then press menu for 5 seconds and you will get to a screen similar to it. Press the verison tab, then download.
