Navi Log File Question

Navi Log File Question
So I know the system keeps some log files because I can go back a few days and see what the trip computer stored. any idea how many log files it stores? do you need to del them?
The reason for my question.
navi was acting up IE going from dvd to fm was really lagging even on the radio if I changed stations it would change eventually but the display took even longer to update than the station change did.
I decided today just to reset whole system I figured I had one of two problems. first being a short with soon to be failing system. Second the ISimple had screwed up.
Resetting the system resolved the problem for now which makes me think log files could have been the issue.
06 with all the normal navi hack files. (which are gone after the system reset)
TIA

I wanted to update in case some one stumbles on the post.
I think the isimple adapter is causing the problem.
I made the assumption the system was getting loaded with logs which would decrease the (for lack of a better term) ram of the unit.
