Unhappy Navi import contacts to phonebook question

I just recently got the Blackberry Bold which I was crossing my fingers that it might support the phonebook import and be able to make calls from the navi but alas while the Blackberry Storm does and is almost the same OS it appears that the Bold cannot.

So I'm wondering if something like this possible:

1. Copy all of my contacts that are currently synced to my phone via our exchange server at work to the SIM card that is in it.

2. Buy a phone (with no service) that does allow phonebook import.

3. Insert my Blackberry SIM card into this temporary phone.

4. Do the phonebook import from the temporary phone.

5. Put the SIM card back into the Blackberry and connect to the HFL.

6. Make calls from the phonebook in the navi.

I saw that someone asked this question back in July in a very long thread in this forum but it was never answered so I apologize if it's been answered elsewhere but after having my car for 2 years now I'd really like to be able to use this nice feature of the navi.

If this is possible, can anyone recommend a cheap phone that will work?

Thanks for your help!

You can put all the contacts on an ericsson phone that supports the phonebook option and transfer it to the HFL and that's it.
