Question Navi has no Queens, NY information

Hello All,

I just installed the latest orange navi DVD in my '04 TL and it still says that there is no data for Queens NY.... It did this before the update. It has information for most other areas? Is Queens intentionally blacked out?

Any ideas?

Thank you,
TL-Rocket

our navigation system was designed in '03.
and the updated disc are supposed to bring updated POI.

but because the hardware and software is pretty old, it's doing its best it can, without the queens info.

use a phone or tablet with your choice of apps to navigate you.

I don't know man, you'd think they would have figured it out since 1683...

I see what you did there....

Maybe they're telling you don't go there

Jokes aside, maybe it's defective?

You can't use 'Queens' in a search. You have to use the neighborhood; Forest Hills, Bayside, Woodhaven, etc. as the city.

^^Yep! It's really weird how things are listed. And then if you put in Brooklyn or Bronx that will work fine. Even though those are names of boroughs too.

All in all the navi system functionality was ahead of it's time in 2004 but the organization of listings was still archaic and an afterthought. It still is it's Achilles's heel.

Many times I just give up when I'm in a hurry and just speak it into googlemaps on the iPhone and the audio intergrates beautifully via bluetooth soundgate while my music plays.
