Navi cursor stalls

A-TL 05 navi (Canadian version)
some weeks ago noticed car position cursor stalls on the screen and not moving while I'm driving. Then starts moving again, sometime far away actual road on the screen
Searched forum, didn't find similar problem.
Hidden menu shows 8-9 satellites, coordinates are changing while car is moving (hidden menu option).
No tinting on the rear window, nothing wrong in navi status (hidden menu option), log file includes entries with navi.exe warning (not sure if file name is fully correct, I don't remember exactly, but will take a look if requried).
DVD reloaded - no changes
DVD is old version (2004 maps) with some minor scratches, but it was working fine, I even didn't know about scratches until problem appeared (I didn't remove it from the drive... car bought used)
Navi rebooted - no changes
Any ideas?

thanks in advance

P.S.
I've seen somewhere Acura Navi based on Windows CE... is it true is there any option to record another navi software that works on WCE on DVD and load it into factory system? e.g. IGo? Or this is a stupid idea?

got a new 2010 DVD from Alpine (thanks for the $99 link!) - nothing changed, car symbol and map still freezing from time to time. The same time coordinates are being changed while driving andspeed calculated by GPS also available. Is there any problem with DVD drive? (cleanup disk didn't change anything)
