anyone knows whether the navi climate info display panel fits on non-navi model? I'm planing to replace my HU with a carputer, and want to replace the display to the clock location (same as navi model), but seems not an easy job... if the navi display fits directly, then I will buy the part and put it in instead.

It fits but the navi climate display will not work with the non navi models. There is no connection on the back of the nonnavi display for this. The LCD on the non navi screen is soldered directly to the circuit board. Most have moved this non navi display to the lower storage compartments.

 

thanks for the inputs. I know several people have moved the display to below the HU, but since I'll be replacing the HU too, it's useless having the radio display there... the current clock location is ideal for the AC display IMO.

I'm not worried about having correct connectors as I can solder wires no problem, but only if they use same inputs/outputs, i.e., 10 wires for left side AC buttons, 16 for right side, 6 for output controlling AC units etc. anyone knows is it same for navi display?

another think I can do it desolder the non-navi display and put it to clock location, but it doesn't fit well and must have some fabrication done, and I'm not good at fabrication at all.
