Nav & Traffic & Rerouting?

So quick question... does the TL Type S re-route around traffic? I only ask because mine doesnt seem to want to do this... but the commercial as seen here...

TL Type S Commercial

really makes it seem like it does this.

Thoughts? Is there something I'm missing?

I have the TL base and I also assumed this when I leased it. It's really misleading.

Nope...no re-routing...

I've canceled my nav traffic subscription...it's kinda pointless...(it's good when it tells you exactly what's causing the traffic: accident, road work, etc....but this is only an informative advantage...you are still standing still in traffic)

At the very least XM Traffic really needs to give more info and on a more timely basis.

In Florida, if you dial 511 you get real time traffic for free. Best of all its voice activated. Example, say "95 - palm beach" it gives you the traffic report for I-95 in Palm Beach county. Plus it gives you detail on which lanes to avoid if there's an accident or construciton. XM only gives you an "accident" or "construction" notification but nothing else. Its a good concept (having real time traffic at your finger tips) but it just wasn't well thought out. Certainly not worth the $3 or $4 a month.

Acura really needs to be more careful about false/misleading advertising.

Yeah, looks like you have to manually re-route to your destination...
