Thinking about buying a TL S-type. One of the features that I like is the navigation system that has the XM traffic updates (IS350 doesn't have that). But, how useful is this functionality? I would assume it is as useful as the XM traffic information that feeds it, but to how useful are those?

Would love to hear some experience -- both interstate trips and local driving.

 

I live in Phoenix. NavTraffic also includes flow monitors. The system is priceless in this city. My wife has it in her car and I can't tell you how many times it has saved our butts. What's nice about her system is if you have a route plotted, and a traffic incident pops up along that route, it will offer to route you around it.

The fact that the TL has XM, but didn't integrate NavTraffic is just ludicrous. After using it in my wife's car, I am really tempted to get rid of the TL and get something that has it. It's worth that much to me.
