Nav Screen Failed
My nav screen started to fail....it goes from working to static with a line down the middle...kinda like when you were 12 trying to watch porn on the HBO channels your parents didn't pay for.
Took it to the dealer and they tested it to make sure it wasn't a wiring issue. Sure enough the screen is fried. Replacement cost...$3,500! Luckily I bought the extended warranty. If I had to pay that much money out of pocket I would have just had them mount a 60" flat panel in the thing.

Ak Ting Up
As for the dealers, I do get their estimate on projects because they have valuable info that is not found on the net. Then I go do the work myself.

Hahaha..the 12 year old is 43 now and can afford HBO!
So, the dealer jsut called me to tell me my car was ready. He told me Acura wanted him to pull the nav screen and send it to them for repair since it was a warranty fix, and that it would be 3 weeks to turn it around. That's 3 weeks without any climate controls as well since they're apparently attached to the nav screen. He then told me that he convinced them to just replace it, which I now have to pay a $50 deductible for, which is BS in my opinion. Sure, $50 is better than $3.5K, but I paid for a warranty...not to mention $3.5K is an idiotic price for something that cost $500 to make.

If they had to keep your navi screen for 3 weeks, you could have gotten a loaner and an updated DVD for your troubles. I'm sure they would not let you drive around with a hole in your dash for 3 weeks......what am I saying? This is the dealership so anything is possible. Take a closer look at your warranty info and see if it says anything about a deductible. I see that you are in NOVA. What dealer, if you don't mind me asking?

SHAWD 04TL is in
... No but on a serious note :
What issues did u notice first... cuz my nav has a little "feedback" kinda like little transparent lines about 1 or 2 pixls big going up & down on the screen. Kinda got me thinking about taking it in for warranty.
It seems to happen when I ghave my AC on full blast or when I rev my engine. It almost seems to be an electrical issue from the alternator feedback.
