Ok, so i just bought my TL and when i enter a name for a place to go to, the nearest place it brings up is 300mi away?!?

any reason why it doesnt give me resukts in my immediate area..

 

1) Set your state in the Navi.
2) Use the "sort by distance" option if you are looking at categories with different names (i.e. "Fast food") rather than the name of a place/chain. If you use the name of a place, like "Macy's," the navi will sort by distance automatically.

Also, what year car and what year Navi DVD?
The more recent the DVD, the better the software works due to the updates on the discs.

The Navi DVD unit is in the trunk; the TL's Navi is DVD-based and updated yearly (although most of us don't get a new DVD each year).
