Nagging NAVI ??'s
1. I was reading on here about the ability to change the colors to Amber, Blue etc..However I cant seem to get it working. I also have no clue as to what is actually changing color. Is the background of the menus supposed to change or is the dashboard??
2. Lets say Im looking for a dam Starbucks...I select Find Place, Enter Keyword, Starbucks and the NAVI gives me locations across the US. I would think the NAVI would calculate Starbucks in my vicinity. Am I doing something wrong?? Whats the proper way to look up a place.
3. Are there subcategories under the Categories that we can select from???
Much appreciated fellas

You best bet is to search by category, rather than key word.
Places, Category, Restaurant, Place Name by Keyword, Sort by Distance to Travel, then enter a partial string like "starb" and select from the list.
If you don't use search by category, then it will bring up EVERYTHING named Starbucks listed on the disk... There's probably a shoe or clothing store with the same name. Remember, the system can only be as smart as the person who is querying the data, so just like searching like searching the internet or these forums, your search needs to be well defined.
Using categories is your best bet. Good Luck!

after you change the color press your audio button and you'll see the background has changed color, basically it does nothing

Example in the navigation mode:
4 st NW
800 m <--------------this background
conclusion: I can't tell a dam* difference whether it's blue or red
2. Use Places-Categories-Restaurent-Others (I belive this is starbucks belongs to) then place by name, then sort by distance
3. There are many categories. If you are not sure of certain category (eg: pharmacy), then you can go : places - categories - advanced and search for a category you want.
