My XM radio is on strike

Have any of you guys had problems with your XM receiver after just getting the car? I guess mine was supposed to be activated when the car was shipped to me but it never gave me anything but the preview channel. I've called customer service 3 times and each time they send activation code but nothing happened. The last time they recommended that I take it to the dealer. Anyone else have problems getting their XM activated? Was it a hardware problem?

The dealer & I activated the radio over the phone in my TL. The XM rep. told me to leave the radio on channel 1 & turn off the XM radio before I turn off the car. Then, after fifteen minutes, tune to ch.7 or ch.9. The radio was already activated when I bought it, but I needed to provide XM w/ my personal info.

Also, I was told to keep a clear view of the southern sky during activation.

Pay your salesperson a visit & have them help you activate it.
