My sub-upgrade

I am having Circuit City install a MTX Thunder 5500 series (5510-04) 10" subwoofer in a sealed box along with a 300W (MTXTC3001 AMP) tonight. I also asked them to line the rear deck shelf tray with Dynamat to eliminate shelf rattle(which the factory sub creates). Total package just under $600

So? How did it turn out, and where are the pics? Lastly, it sounds like you did this to a stock setup. Yes?

Sorry don't have pics yet- Yes, Circuit City disconneted the factory sub and used the outputs from it. It is really more power than I need- I had to cut the new amp power in half using the adjustments on the amp. The nice thing is that I still have my sub-level controls through the end unit. Overall, very nice sounding-

I'm trying to figure out what the optimal amp settings should be on the sub

I have controls for GAIN, BASS, and FREQ RESPONSE- I understand gain but why have a BASS and a FREQ RESPONSE Control- what's the difference?
