Hi and welcome to the forums

to answer you question, upgrading the audio in the TL isn't that hard really, as long as you keep the factory head unit. Here are two options for the best sound out of the factory head unit, the first one costs less, but won't give you any tuning options for the audio.

1. Factory Radio -> factory Amp-> Tap wires after amp, but before speakers -> send signal to aftermarket AMP (Line out converter may be needed to reduce voltage) -> aftermarket speakers and sub

2. Factory Radio-> Factory Amp -> Tap wires after amp, but before speakers-> to Rocksford Fosgate 3.sixty.2 audio proccessor (or any one for that matter) -> aftermarket amps -> aftermarket speakers.

Quite can't understand what you mean, but I think you mean that can I run the factory amp, then straight to the aftermaket?

If that's it, then yes, but only if you aftermarket amp has HIGH VOLTAGE inputs. I know a few JL amps have it.

All JL products have it, I checked their site. The feature is called Differential Balanced Inputs for their company. If you look in the picture below, you can see the switch for Low/High input.

I wouldn't just go with JL products, there are many companies out there with better quality amps and features.

Well maybe, the stock sub is 40 watts a 2ohms, 20 watts at 4ohms. If you got a tube with a low enough sensitivity, then it would work. But most likely you won't find a tube like that and you will need an amp.
