i think this is possible because tl's navi is running on windows ce and this could be done by simple firmware update. i had iriver mp3 cd player and it was able to play ogg files later by a firmware. i know mp3 is not free codec, so i think honda should make firmware that plays mp3 and upgrade the system for like $20 or so for those who want mp3 functions. One other thing is if someone can hack into TL's windows ce and pcmcia thinggy, i think we can download mp3s to cf card and play them thru tl's high quality speakers.

 

This has been discussed before. One of the main limitations is that the audio link between the navi computer and the audio system is monaural. You're not going to get stereo out of such a player.
