Mototrola V400 Bluetooth Adapter

Just Got My TL 2004 two days ago.
Moved from a troublesome TSX I had for a year, and
could not be happier, the TL is one great machine.

Now I'm trying to put to work all
the car's gadgets.
Like looking for a Bluetooth Celphone
that really works with the TL system.
I currently own a Motorola V400, and saw an accessory
for the Motorola that hooks to the phone and gives it
Bluetooth capabilities.
The accesory is from Motorola, And It's The
"Motorola 98597 / Dc600 / S9874 Bluetooth Adpater".
It's Cost...+/-$39.00 .

Anyone who knows of the performance of this accesory
used with the TL's Bluetooth System???

So far, since Oct. 03, we haven't seen anyone ever reporting the really useful and workable adapters in order to extend their mobile phones' capabilities with HFL system of 3G TL. IMHO.

milanored, BT adapter comes with a HeadsetProfile and not an HandsFree profile which is needed for BT to work with the TL.

Is there any hope that an external BT adapter for a convention phone would ever have the Hands Free profile? Or would adding that make the cost of the adapter too high?

Supposedly the Jabra A210 is going to support the HF profile. Sposed to be out really soon, we'll see.

Bought the A210 jabra and no luck so far

I bought the Jabra A210 to connect my Blackberry 7750 to the HFL. The HFL has not been able to pair with the Jabra. The instructions seem to depend on settings from the phone that the Jabra can't recreate since it's only an adapter

Still no luck with the Jabra a210?

Have you been able to resolve your difficulties with the a210? I have a non-Bluetooth LG phone and would like to use it with HFL. I thought that the a210 would be the answer. Was your difficulty because you have a Blackberry? Or is it because of problems with the a210 and our HFL?

Any update would be most appreciated.

Cheers,

ZED

The Jabra unit will not work with our cars....

Eric,

Thank you for contacting JABRA North America!

No, Bluetooth vehicles currently will only pair with a Bluetooth enabled
cellular phone. The Bluetooth car needs the link for data transfer as
well as voice transfer, while our adapter only supports voice transfer.
We have tested this process, and have not been able to achieve any
successful link.

Unhappy

Doh!! I finally received the A210 and discovered that it didn't work.

I guess I could get a wireless head set.

Anyone use the A210 with a wireless head set?

Sorry bout that dude. I hate spending money only to find out it was a waste. I've used the Jabra 250 series for a couple of years now and I prefer them. I wear one all day for work and you hardly feel it's there. If you like the v400, you can step up to a V500 or the Razr and it will work with your HFL. I'm not fond of the Motorola address book, but some of the other features should show. The only brand I know that shows Battery level, Signal Strength AND the phone number of the incoming call is SonyEricsson. My T68i - one of the first bluetooth phones - worked very well with my TL's HFL. I'd still use it for a spare if I could unlock the damn thing. AT&T wireless went away and made my old phones useless.
