Motorola V505

Has anyone tried this phone with the TL? Your thoughts, please? Any different from the V600?

The V500 series has been out for awhile in other markets other than the U.S. The V500 and V525 have been used in Asia and Europe for quite a bit. In any case, the HFL performance should be similiar if not the same as the V600 given they share functions in the triplets series. I had a V525 awhile back, awesome phone.

Yes, but is the V505 any better than the V600? Any different characteristics?

* It weighs .10 ounces less than the V600.
* It is a hair longer, taller, thicker...and when I mean a hair, it is truly a hair.
* The biggest advantage about the V600 is that it can do voice memo/dialing which I can't find on the V505.

I would go with the V505 being that its been out a little bit longer in the world so it is slightly more refined. On a different note, where in Irving are you located? I see a white TL on a daily basis on MacArthur all the way past 635. I also see an Anthracite and Black one once in awhile...must be a sign for me to get mine soon. cheers.

My TL is the Green Pearl. I live in the Towne Lake subdivision off 183 & Esters Rd.

Does anyone here own this phone yet? Does it display complete HFL information (signal and battery strength?) with the TL. Any noted problems with the phone itself or compatibility with the TL?

Just got one.....Signal and caller id work like wyricke says but no battery which I don't care since mine always seems to be plugged in when in the car. The clarity is great for both ends. One friend didn't even know that I was on speaker. 1 Day down and happy.

Extra Ring

I have a little problem with my V505 perhaps someone can help.
When I receive a call in the car it answers as set "YOU HAVE AN INCOMMING CALL" however I also get a ring in the V505 phone, different than the ring set for out of the car use (Flare). I have listed my settings below. Perhaps you can tell me how yours is set which may eliminate the problem. I can't get an answer from ATT, Motorola or HFL. Perhaps you can assist. Not many folks with V505 yet. Other then this problem it works fine all but no battery indication.

Thanks
