Motorola: V3!

Has anyone heard when Motorola V3 is coming out...I am going to wait for that since v710 has sofware issues (not displaying the battery signal...etc). Any updates on V3 will be appreciated.

narmeen - In case you haven't noticed, Motorola (and realisitcally, every other manufacturer) doesn't get the first version of firmware right in their cell phones anymore. Usually, it will be a year or so after the product release before the firmware will settle down.

As mentioned on this board, there are updates to the Sony/Ericcson T6xx phones that are still occurring, and it's been over a year since those phones have been released.

Cell phone firmware is incredibly complex these days, especially with all the cr@p that the manufacturers are putting in them (streaming video, MP3 players, PIMs, etc.).

To make it clearer, what I'm saying is this: If like the V710, buy the V710 and wait for Motorola to come out with the inevitable firmware fixes for the V710. If you want the V3, wait for it to come out, then wait for the inevitable Motorola firmware fixes for the V3.
