motorola E815 annoyance

It seems the E815 is the first choice for TL'ers to pair with the TL and it does work in that regard. HOWEVER---it seems whenever you get a message or if the battery runs low it has this really loud annoying periodic beep.
Does anyone know how to turn this off ?

The phone beeps or the car? If the phone, then you can go into the Loud/Soft Detail section and turn it off, if it's the car, then I have no clue.

Regards

Check your messages; it'll stop beeping. Or just throw the phone in the trunk and you won't hear while you're driving. Oh yeah, you could try charging it, too. Then again, if the battery dies, the beeping stops.

I guess I could be a *ic* and just say "Read the manual!" but then again, I could try to help. On the E815, message alert tones are part of each "ring style" setting. To change them, select "7. Settings" from the Main Menu and then "1. Ring Styles". Your currently selected ring style will be the default selection. Select "_ring style name_ Detail" and you'll see all of the alert settings for that ring style. Select at the bottom of the list "Reminders" by hitting the OK button. You can then select for your reminders a beep, vibrate, or off. You'll need to do this for each ring style you use since they're all different.

By the way, I don't think this will affect your low battery beep. Then again, wouldn't that be like wanting to turn off the low battery beep on a smoke detector? Just be glad it reminds you to charge the battery.
