Motorola E815

Just saw that Acura has "officially approved" the Motorola E815 for Bluetooth in our TL's. All but the Battery Strength are supposed to be indicated on the MID. Has anyone gotten the Battery Strength signal to work on their MID?

I got mine at the begining of this week...

It works fine, I love it as soon as I crank up my car it pairs and it shows battery and signal strength on the MID.

Mine works fine also. It pairs very quickly (much faster than my Sprint Treo 650). The only issue I've noticed is that it always shows the RM indicator also for some reason.

Do you have to manually turn on the bluetooth on the phone everytime you get in the car, or is there a way for the phone to turn the bluetooth connection on automatically?

MINE Links up automatically

I just set mine up to link up when ever I get into the car.

I think it was settings, then connection, then Bluetooth, then setup and make Power "on"

I think that should make it find the connection automatically...

I have been using the E815 for about three weeks now. I get both the signal stregth and battery indicator. The only time I get the "RM" indicator is when I am on Verizon's Extended Network. The bluetooth handsfree works great, sounds clear, doesn't freeze, and hooks up automatically once you get in the car. If you want to enable ALL the bluetooth features for the phone, you have to do some more "work"

problems with transfer

I am using an e815 and have no problems, except I can't send ("transfer") the phone call from the handsfree back to the phone. Don't you just hit the top button ("talk") on the steering wheel and just say "transfer"?

Yes, that's how it's done, and I've had success on my 815. Can't remember if I need to have the phone already open or not -- try it both ways and see.

PROBLEMS with E815

Hey guys... I just upgraded my v710 for the E815 and cannot get it to pair with the HFL. Anyone else have that problem? I see that all of u on this post have not had a problem. Any ideas?

What happens when you try to pair it? How about deleting the old phone from the HFL first. Or simply disconnecting the battery to the car and resetting the system (doing this will require input of your navi and radio codes). Follow the directions exactly as stated here:

Yes - You can transfer them from the card to the phone. You have to send a pix message to a random number that doesn't exist (say 55555). In the pix message attach the mp3 from the sound card and send it. Once the phone says the message cant be delivered - go to your message outbox and go to the message. You can go to the options and save the attachment (mp3) to your phone. You can then use them and assign them as ring tones. to verizon for blocking everything and making it such a hassle to do this.

The message thing works but if you want to get rid of that annoying "feature" you need to do some seem editing. Check out the howard forums to rid yourself of many of those helpful features Verizon has decided to include on E815.
