Memory setting feature not found in manual
Memory setting feature not found in manual
For the last 4 months of owning my car I had it set. My 2 year old son reset the options I had programed in. Before he reset it, my seat was set and would only move until i pressed the memory #1 button. Now, the seat moves to the memory setting when the door is open.
I've looked through the manual and did a quick search. What's the deal here?
I liked it better when Im already sitting in the car and ready for the seat to move into posistion. I also noticed there is a "Welcome Driver one" near the speedo that never came on before.
So how do i stop the seat from moving into posistion when the door opens and only after I press the button?

What your son did was link the remote to the car. When this happens, when you unlock the car using the respective memory 1 or memory 2 remote, and then open the door, it will move your seats and mirrors, and provide your presets for your radio/xm stations and your previous temp. settings. That way the car is the way you left it and all you have to do is belt up and drive away.
Basically is a convenince feature, if you don't like it, to disable it, hold down the lock and unlock button on the remote for 3 seconds. It's printed on the back of the remote too.
