looking to buy acura, but got questions about system

ok, i have some question, i looked through the audio and need some answers please?!?!?

1. the audio system in the current tl cannot play burned cds, correct? but still can play regular cds.
2. but it can play dvd audio cds, and burnt dvd audio cds right? but i have to go through the trouble of using the discwelder program, or can i just use any dvd burning software and just put music onto that? or should i just follow what this guy said in this thread https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=118559

In reply to your post

1. I have a 2005 TL and it plays regular burned CD's just fine.
2. You should be able to use any DVD burning software that supports DVD-A's. You can use Discwelder if you want or follow what other people have posted. I use Ulead's Burn Now and works fine for me though other people on this forum have not been able to make it work. I have burned several DVD-A's with the trial Ulead program either direct from MP3's or Wav files or direct from CD's. Unfortunately it does not create separate groups (folders) so you are stuck with up to 99 songs all together with no labels (our TL's do not show disc info on screen). Right now I am good to go but when I do I will purchase this program if nothing better comes along. It's only 40 bucks.

The TL does play burned CD's. Does anyone know what would prevent any CD player from not playing burned CD's? As far as I know if its a CD player...it can play burned CD's.

Here's another link you can refer to for burning DVD-A discs using Freeware. https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=118963 or you can simply purchase DVD-A discs at online sites like Acoustic Sounds, DVD Planet, Buy DVD Now and DVD Empire.

It's matter of how old CD player is. Old CD players couldn't read burned CDs because Burned CDs only reflect half or less of light compared to pressed (factory) CD.

#light reflection#(I heard this long time ago, numbers may not be 100% accurate but gives you a figure)
Pressed CD - 100%
CD-R - 50%
CD-RW - 10%

My 3 year old JVC mini system won't read CD-RW but works with CD-R
Nowdays any new CD players seems to be fine.

it's true but some cd-r have better reflectivity rating than others so getting higher quality disks might enable older cd players to play burned disks.
