If your car gets stolen... Do you really want it back?

That price doesnt sound that bad... Be sure to tell your insurance company that you have Lojack.

Hey, and if you have nav... Someone created a really cool "Lojack tracking activated" picture for me. Its cool.

Our dealership offered 2 options(none of which we added), one was lojack(Which I guess is more like a homing becon), and the other allowed you(and the authorities) to go online and track your car through GPS.

the second is mobile guardian. Go to their site, tipe in username and pass and instantly find the car location. I think you can also disable ignition with it too. You get 16 free locates and after that its 100 dollars

I don't. I figure if someone is willing to go to jail for it, he wants it more than me. The window etching and the wheel locks are about as far as I'd go.

mobile guardian, like csmeance said, allows for 16 free tracking online, then they charge after that. Great feature is the vehicle disable, however it only works when the car is not moving, in park as it poses a safety risk to the a-hole that stole your car to begin with because he can lose control of it (tell you the truth, I wouldn't mind if he lost control of it!). My sister had it installed in her g35...I drove down the street and it would not disable. However if I place it in park and shut it off, she disabled it via internet and the car would no longer start. Another nice feature of mobile guardian is if your alarm is tripped, the system will actually send you a text message on your cell phone, alerting you that your vehicle is being broken into...that's a real nice feature...gives you time to get your .45 and see what's up =).

I have that on my TL it has some great features. I dont have any kids but if I did I would put it on the car so I can track the lil F-ers. You can also set a speed limit and if the car goes over that limit it will send a text to you.

I think it's only a 2% discount for lojack/mobile guardian. I have Mobile Guardian installed in my TL.

LoJack is better in certain parts of the country that others, ie, when I lived in NY, Long Island, it was great, much support from the local Police, now that I live in the Atlanta area, not much emphsis on having one here, some of the local Police are not equiped to deal with a call about car being stolen. Now with that being said, my past 4 or 5 cars in Atlanta have all had the Lojack installed, for the peace of mind when I have to leave the cars setting outside or down at the airport.
