LINKING i870 w/ TL?

Has anyone successfully linked a Nextel i870 bluetooth w/ their TL?

I've tried for days, and it can't find the device.

If anyone has, can you please explain what steps need to be done? thank you very much!

i had to turn the bluetooth on the phone and then press the voice button the steering wheel and link or pair the phone up with the car. it found my phone instantly. that was my big issue with the car since i just bought the i870 when it came out because of the bluetooth technology. hope that helps somewhat.

I read both these, and if you noticed.. the first link I posted a few msgs asking HOW exactly you link the phones. The TL simply does not detect my 870, nor my friends. I go to set up, turn bluetooth on.. and hit the voice button on my steering wheel. Nothing happens at all.

You need to make your phone find the car, not the other way around. Nothing happens when you're doing what you're doing because your phone is not paired to the car.

You need to open up your owners manual and find out how to pair a phone. Acura does not keep it secret from you.

From memory.... (need to make sure bluetooth is enabled on your phone)

These are all guesses, so don't jump on me if it's not perfect (u can alway say help)

-With car on press HFL button say "setup or phone setup)
-Should be an option for pairing say "pairing or phone pairing"
-YOu should have to speak a 4 digit number to your car

One this is done, go into your phone and discover BT devices... since your car is now in pairing mode, it should find your car. Your phone will ask you to enter the 4 digit code you spoke to your car earlier. Once this is done...

You car will ask you to name your phone
-Speak name of phone

- ALL Done.
