Lights around Navi

I have '06 TL w/ navi. A couple of days ago, the zoom button light won't come on so I took the center console apart. I took the bulb out and went to the dealership to order the bulb. Then I put the navi and the radio back in place without the bulb in it because the dealer told me it'd be sometime next week before they'll have the bulb in. That night, when I turned on my headlights as I'm driving, I noticed all of the light around the navi were out. Temp, menu, A/C, Info, etc. I mean all of them! Yet the navi and climate control seem to be working fine and the lights for the radio come on too. Has anyone had this problem before? I wonder if there's a fuse for the lights somewhere inside the navi unit that might have blown. My warranty just ran out so I'm looking for a way to do it myself.
Any help would be appreciated.

Why didn't you just take it to the dealer before messing with it? It should be covered under warranty.

Initially, the "zoom" button was the only one out. And the rest of the lights were still on even after I took the bulb out. I'm thinking that I might have shorten something out somehow. I checked the manual for fuses under the hood and in cabin under the steering wheel, but none of them are specified for navi lights. I wonder if there's a fuse inside the navi unit? Thanks.

I had a few of mine die in the span of about a month - but not all of them at the same time... Take it apart again and see if they're blown

Everything else's working fine. The lights surrounding the Navi are the only problem. Thanks.

The bulbs are tested to be fine. I took the bulbs off the Navi and tried them in other places, like seat heater button. They all work!
This really is driving me insane because the fuse under the hood is fine too. Someone in my other thread mentioned something about 14 pin green connector on back of navi. But I don't know what to do with it.

Do the buttons themselves function ok?

There is a connector going from the button unit to the control circuit boards. Maybe it fell out or something. It's behind the cover.

Did you take out the 14 pin green connector by any chance? If so, make sure you did not bend the pins when you put them back in.

If that looks OK, I would lightly wiggle #2 RED, #4 RED/BLK, & #7 RED/BLU wires to see if you are having some sort of intermittent connection issues. All seem to control the illumination circuit.

Otherwise, I got no clue...

I just spent 2 hours playing with the wires. They don't seem to be the problem. Well, I think I'm gonna give up and take it to the dealership after putting everything back together. Hopefully, they'd be nice enough to fix it for less since I'm only 2k miles over the warranty.
Thank you all for trying to help!!! I'll post after the trip to the dealership sometime soon.
