License Plate LED Bulbs project.. COMPLETED..pix inside

well, these are the bulbs I used:

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=260370988910

installation was a pain but can be done in 20mins.. removing the trunk lining was easy .. remove the 5 screw bolts, the rubber strips at the top and then sorta pull hard on the trunk inner handle so it comes off. i had the lining about 50% off so easy to get to the bulbs.. i disconnected the power and then used a flathead screwdriver to pry the bulb connector OFF the clear plastic holder.

the LED bulbs produce a very wide angle of light..so it hits your license plate nicely... not like some that just shine downwards.

EBAY SELLER DESCRIPTION of these LED BULBS:
Unlike other LEDS on ebay, These bulbs are inverted which means light output will be wide and shoot down on the side instead of in the front. This is useful and the best for license plate area because bulbs placed in the license plate area are often pointing towards the back or to the side so the leds that only shoot light forward will be pointing at the trunk and not directly at the license plate. with the inverted LED bulb, you are getting more light output directly to the license plate.

NOTE* in the package, the seller suggested something about how to keep the bulb life longer: "to prevent bulb from burning out, do not start the car with the LED bulb turned on" - thoughts on that?

here are pix! and yah i know.. i gotta change out the ghetto-a$$ license plate holder.

and wow..white LED looks great on WDP!

Yes, they look great on the WDP. I have them as well. I was comparing the cold cathode ray tube to my LED's last night and the tube is a bit brighter. Both cars were 08 WDP TL-S's. Great job!
