Led turn signals

I want to install my switch back leds this weekend but I want to make sure I know how to install the load resistors. How would I be able to know which wire (that goes to the turn signal) is positive or negative? Obviously I need to install the load resister on the positive wire.

Please use search next time.

Here is a basic image of what you need to do.

Connect one side to one wire, the otherside to the other wire. Easiest
