Hey guys I was just wonder is it illegal to change your license plate lights to a different color beside it normal stock ones??? I want to change my 08 TL license plate into blue neon LED color, but I don't want to get put over by any cops so I just want to check if I could do that???

Also I'm not sure what kind of bulb type/size I need for my 08, can I use one that for a 07 TL because I went to Auto Zone to look at for the LED lights and its update to 07 TL in the book info. to find the right LED lights size for what ever car your looking for, so my question is would a LED bulb for an 07 TL fit for a 08 TL license plate???

 

i believe that the 921 bulb will fit in everything from dome, door, and even reverse lights. you can also use 194 i think.

 

do a search for "lights" or "led", there are tons of info. i have been doing the whole LED switch as of recent and found alot. here is a great link, but there are others. there are also DIY threads that show how to install.

and to answer your question, i dont think the lights changed from 04-08. they should all be the same.
