Leaving the HFL unplugged

So I've been having my battery drain and it looks like it's the HFL unit causing the drain. So I pulled it apart and unplugged the unit. Will it be fine if my wiring harness is just sitting there unplugged? I may eventually buy a new HFL unit but for now I just want it unplugged so I can actually start my car.
