Keyless entry question

How far away does your remote work? Mine seems to have a very short range, even with a new battery. Like, 30 feet or so. Some days it will be better than that, and some days it will be worse.

Just curious what other people are experiencing!
Mine is an 06 Base

mine is a TL-S and the remote doesnt seem to work really good. compared to other cars, i have to be really close to my TL to open or unlock the car. Why is it like that?

The range is really short for me too. So I use my viper remote to lock/unlock.. Much better range.

I have an 05 Base model and I need to be within 20-30 feet at the MOST. Only time it has been an issue was during the holidays and hours of shopping with the GF to come out and have no clue where my baby (my TL of course)was and the remote being worthless until I was in front of her.

If rather have my remote work closer than farther. What if you accidentally unlock your car or pop the trunk and you aren't even aware of it? (It's happened to me a few times before when I sit on my keys)

The only time I could imagine a long range remote being useful is when you need to hit the panic button.

Oh yeah and the range is ok for me.

^This.

Without that range on mine is ~15-20 feet at best, but not sure when battery was replaced. With the trick I have even got it 200 feet...

Sounds normal to me. 30 ft is pretty much standard for most OEM transmitters.

Dare I say it's the luck of the draw? LOL. I have an 05 tl and my husband has an 04 tl. His can go thru the wall from our living room to the driveway, but mine I need to bring myself outside practically 10 feet away from the car. Both new batteries, and if anything mine has alot less wear and tare on it since I don't use it everyday.
