Keeping phone paired
Keeping phone paired
Whenever I reenter my car it does not recognize the phone. I don't have to repair, but on my phone I have to find my existing pairs, choose the car and choose connect.
Anyone have any ideas?
I have a Nokia 6530i.

Onmy V600, there is a setting for Bluetooth power, or something like that, that you have to set to be on all the time. It sounds like yours is not set to auto and you have to physically tell the phone to pair each time. A friend at work had the same issue w/ her new MDX & a Moto 710 & I was able to fix it the same way.

I have Nokia 6230 and 6310i no problem with either. You need to go to bluetooth settings and set to auto connect w/o confirmation, problem solved. BTW, you can still keep your phone hidden from other blutooth devices.
If it works anything like the Sony Ericsson T616 that I have, you just need to get the car to send a signal and the phone should pick it up. When you get in the car, just attempt a voice dial and see if the phone pics up the signal. My T616 has this problem with the BT headset that I have and it has done this when I test drove a TL.

I check the manual, and I have the "always connect" option on on the phone (thanks for the try MR1)
It worked fine before I took the car for service, so I don't think it's the phone, however it could be. I took it in and then paired their own phone to diagnose a "pop in the speakers" issue, but at the same time I paired my phone w/the loaner TL.
I assume it's the TL since I didn't do anything to the phone. BTW I deleted all pairs on my phone and the car.
I will gladly try any other ideas.
