Just Upgraded Navi to 4.62 in my 2007
I know I read some previous threads on here with rumors about the new 2008 version of the Navi DVD 4.62 not working in a 2007...
The rumor is false, I was able to get it to work perfectly fine in my 2007 TL-S.
Upon inserting the DVD, I noticed on my screen that the system was going through some sort of firmware update, then rebooted then everything seemed normal again.
The only thing I've noticed different so far between the two versions is that the new DVD has 2007 Zagat ratings and more restaurants and POI's. I havn't really noticed anything else different that really stands out...

Igor..how and/or where did you get your disc?

The 2007-2008 TL all run the same navigation version: 4.X so the disks should be compatible.
You can order new disks through http://www.acuranavi.com/.

Igor, I think I found the file, but it's really taking a long time. How long did it take for yours to download?

Worked Like A Charm.
Igor,
I got my disc yesterday in the mail and loaded in my 2007 Type S today. It worked like a charm. It loaded in 4-5 minutes and works seamlessly in the car. I really like the updates to the disc I've seen so far. Thank you VERY much.

quick question: Are all 4.62 discs the same? or is there a specific TL version of it? I mysteriously received a disc out of a different 08 Acura model (not TL) and was curious if it worked in a TL.

I'm not sure if all other 2007/8 models from Acura share the same software on the navi

I have received numerous PM's about an older version for TL years 04-06:
I do NOT have older versions for 04-06 TL's!
This DVD will only work on 2007-2008 Models...

Add me to the confirmation list. Download took over 17 hours.
The new DVD updated the system which took about 3 minutes. Everything still works.
TL-S 2007. I had 4.56a(<-- I believe)

Like the previous poster said, just insert and it will auto detect which will auto upload to 4.62. In case you need to know, you don't start your engine to eject the DVD. You key to the second notch (what ever they call it)
For public info. I got a stack of DVD+DL from Memorex at Best Buy. Burned the ISO using Nero (forgot version) at 2.4 speed (don't use 8x). External USB Pioneer DVD(forgot model) with latest firmware. If you need further hardware detail, PM or post question here.

Question on burning 4.62 DVD
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Do i need an iso program like daemon tools to mount the image, or do i actually burn the .iso file without unpacking it? I'm not sure what i did wrong. I opened up the .iso image and burned the contents with roxio at the slowest speed (2.4x), burned onto a dual layer dvd+r. When I popped it into my '07 TL-S, I got a disk read error. Any help or ideas?

This thread is now a lot shorter than it was before I saw it.
This was posted by datmrman last year in another thread, and is still appropriate, and it is the reason why many posts were deleted.

The guy didn't even give me 24hrs to respond to his PM...he needs to calm down.
I don't live on my computer, I have a life of my own that does not involve sitting on AcuraZine all day.
I am a man of my word and will make it good.

I started to use ImgBurn to burn my ISO. This time, you use Google to search ImgBurn. Don't use those Roxio or any of those music burning software. With Imgburn, it takes a total of 3 clicks to burn. Easy, fast and safe. So I stop using Nero. I also switch my XP Pioneer DVD burn to my Macbook Pro running Viata with ImgBurn. Burned a few copies, works on couple TL so far.
Keep in mind that you are getting this update free, please be nice and patient since it may not work the first time. Burning DL-DVD is a pain in the butt.
Good luck all.

Igor911 and Select_TL: I deleted some of your posts. If you still have a problem send me a PM, but the solution offered seems ok to me at this time.

If you set your ISO file associations in windows to open with Nero, it should only take you <5 clicks to burn.

Copying music or movies is not dangerous to the health of this site so we don't concern ourselves with that aspect of downloading.

Seems pretty silly to me to wait 6 days on a torrent site that people already have here. Anyone that wants to post to me, smalibu AT pphfamily DOT com, I can post on my site in 650mb zip files so everyone can get it.
