I just had the HFL module replaced in my '06 TL at a south bay dealer for free, even though I was out of warranty. Let me know if you need more details.

The HFL module was showing the dreaded "booting up" message.

 

Hey, I just got a used 05 tl and my HFL isn't working either. It doesn't recognize any phones and reuse to pair up. Do you mind letting me which dealer because the bay area isn't too far from me.

how did you get the booting up message? my HFL doesnt link wiht my iphone 4.

I have the same problem with my car. Getting the "booting up" message. What was the receipt and diagnosis that they gave ? I have a 2004 :P

 

I tried calling them, talked to someone in service but it seem like they won't touch your car unless you pay them a diagnostic fee. No mention of being free but at the same time I didn't bring it up either.
