Just bought new 08 TL-S with 4.63 Navi Disc

I just bought brand new 08 Type-S that came with 4.63 Navi disc. It's not the dealer's fault, that I'm 2 versions behind. Car has been probably sitting in their showroom for a while. But what do you thing my chances are, they'll provide the 4.73 free of charge?

congrats on your purchase but I highly doubt the dealer will provide you with an updated version especially since they don't even sell the updates. You have you have to order them from the manufacturer

I guess I'll bite the bullet and spend $149 on the update. Was there a lot of changes in POIs in the Los Angeles area? Maybe I can wait it out until the next release.

go to acura.com -stores- for the list of updates on each release

Go speak in person with the Sales MANAGER ---not the salesperson
Its reasonable for them to provide a current disc for you in the deal~

Acura orders them direct from alpine- thats the only way to get a legit disc

Ugh your 2008 comes with the 4.63. You have the disc your car was shipped with.

NetDiver, ask the dealership you just bought the car from to order you a disc. They should take care of that for you. You shouldn't have to fork out the money for an up-to-date disc.

^ Dont even bother them with it. 4.63 is the CORRECT disc for a 2008 TL. 4.73 was not shipped in vehicles until 2009.

I decided to give it a try and contact the headquarters in Torrance, and requested the 4.73A version. They called me about 3 days later and asked me where do I want them to ship the disc (what dealership), I said Thousand Oaks, CA, they said no problem. Dealer called me today, and said that my DVD is waiting for me there, so I picked it up today. I am pleasantly surprised the way they handled it. I know they didn't have to do it, but they did it anyway.

Sweet! Since you bought the car in 2009, why not have the 2009 disc? Congrats on your new TL-S (w/upgraded navi disc). And welcome to AZ
