I have it hooked up to my 2005 TL and my 1G Nano

1. Random mode
I have to press the SCAN button every single time I turn on the car -- sometimes it'll be in SCAN mode and all of a sudden, it'll be back in NORMAL mode.

2. Paused/stopped when starting the car
When this happens, I switch to another MODE (FM, CD etc), then switch back to XM and it starts to play again.

What's the deal? Does anyone else have these issues? Should I call Dice?

i had issues with mine where it would just stop playing and freeze. i had to unplug the dice module and plug it back then it would work for a few weeks then freeze again. i had it the dip switches under xm emulation because i wanted the titles on my nav screen, but when i got xm i switched it to cdc emulation and it's work flawlessly ever since. i dont get the track titles on the screen any more but its faster scrolling thru the ipod itself anyway. plus you can still track advance with the steering wheel remote

 

I just installed a Dice unit in my '05 TL and I am having the same issue with pausing. I really want the text to I will live with if I have to but I am going to call Dice to see if there is a fix for it. I have a 5th gen iPod video. Another thing I noticed is that it does not pause with the HFL but it will pause when switching to CD, radio, or cutting the car off. I will post up what they tell me.

 

RC5-I think the pause issue is normal since its working off the XM. It wouldn't pause the XM either if you used your phone.
My issue is the text on my clock display only says DICE or NO INFO ever since I had to jump start my car. The text works fine on the nav screen, but now I can't be on the map screen and still read what is playing in the clock display. Pretty frustrating since it used to work like that.
We used to have some DICE reps on the forum that would chime in and help, where'd they go?

 

Not sure but I will be giving Dice a call in the morning on it. The bad thing for me is that I am going out of town for the holidays so I would be able to ship it back until sometime in December if I needed to. I ran an errand in the car this morning and it froze my ipod when switching between playlists. I had to hold the center and menu buttons to reset it. I also made sure that my ipod has the latest firmware. I don't want to reset it in iTunes beacuse I'm not sure if I will loose my playlists.

Another thing I noticed is that the scrolling feature works intermittently. I'm not sure if that has more to do with the ID3 tags on the song or not. That is not a huge deal for me.

 

Yeah its definitely buggy.
