I have a 2004 TL and I had some surgery this past Thursday and was not able to drive. Got in the TL today to go to work...and the CD player. Radio. XM. Tape deck. None of it works. Oddly the Bluetooth will start up and pair and works. If I turn The hands free or "phone" off nothing comes up. It just flashes cd and track number info and etc. then shuts off. Never have had this happen before. I also noted at times the "anti theft" will light up red. And then turn off. Like it's locked. Yet normally that only shows up when the car is locked. I managed to get all of my 6 cd's out of the changer. Only way to do this was hit the talk button on Bluetooth. Let the menu sit there and hit "eject" on CDs and they will come out. The moment I'm off phone it doesn't do anything. I can't load or eject a cd. Also can't even push a tape into tape deck.

Never have encountered this. Ever. Anyone else have this issue ever? I don't even know what to do to combat this issue...

 

thats' weird. maybe try disconnect and reconnect the battery? (make sure you have your radio codes handy)

Other thing i would try is disconnecting the HFL and see if it's not some weird problem related to it.

do you have navigation?

 

I have yet to re start battery. Codes are on side of my glove box so I can try that. I tried turning HFL off and cd still doesn't work. Nothing. I will have to try battery next. :/

 

I did the battery re start...nothing works. It now shows "CODE" and I can't put the code in. I hit the numbers on the system and nothing goes in. I also do not have the NAV. I was hoping this would correct itself, but I did notice now when in car, with car started it continously flashes "ANTI THEFT" in the red dot on the cd area...which again should never be flashing unless the car is locked. Makes me think the CD DECK and all that has been "locked out" ??
