Hey I got my isimple installed a couple month ago and I've always used my iPod. Today I tried to see if my iPhone 4 will work with the simple and it won't. I would get that error message saying that it's not optimized for this device. But I can change the songs on my iPhone thru the tune knob and sound only comes out the iPhone speakers not my car. Anyone know what's wrong? Also can I have the aux port and iPod installed at the same time? Thanks for any input.

 

Try updating the firmware on the isinple. Many people including myself use the iPhone/isimple combo.

 

I upgraded it and still nothing. I even swapped it out for the newer models and it wont work. Is there an update for the ios4?

 

i dont remember which firmware its supposed to be, but i know the firmware of the phone and the firmware of the gateway have an impact on performance...

 

Is anyone using the new ios4 version with there isimple??
