I bought the car used with this in it, and I can't get it to work...figure I'm doing something wrong. To make it as simple as possible, I plug the iPod into the connector, it states "iPod is not supported by this device", I turn the head unit on & attempt to access the XM function...no luck...Here's a pic of the device...

 

Looks like you're using an ipod that isnt supported. Looks like the Gateway is working (iPod isnt something you normally see in the radio) Try updating the firmware by downloading the proper file here: http://www.pac-audio.com/firmware/index.html

Also that Gateway is an older model. The firmware may still work.

well tht device is the old one. what i would do is update your ipod then if that dosent work update the unit. it isnt hard just follow step by step instructions.

 

That looks like the next step...I updated the firmware & attempted a reconnect...No luck...I did some more hunting here & seen that another forum member had luck by flipping the 2nd switch down, so I tried that...everything worked normally, but no sound...am I missing something or should I update the unit?
