iSimple Help (aftermarket subs)

I know theres a lot of threads about the iSimple in the 3rd gen tl and i read through most of this: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...+radio&page=12
but i couldn't find out if anyone had used it with aftermarket subs, the iSimple Tranzit sounds like garbage and doesnt even send signal to to the woofers when it should so theres no bass when i play my ipod. can anyone confirm that the Gateway works well with an after market system before i go ahead and buy it?

All that the iSimple does it get an input signal to the head unit through the XM channel. It has no contact with the subs, or any speaker... the HU do this.

The iSimple does manage to get a CD quality signal to the HU...maybe even a bit better. It is not HD quality.

i know what you mean and i know it has no contact with the subs, but its like it doesnt even send the low notes through to the headunit. thats why i was wondering if anyone had used it with a system to see if it sounds as good as a cd would. but hopefully the gateway will be CD quality or better (all the way around, including the lows) like you said.

are you using the gateway isimple that lets you control it through the oem radio and stuff? and I'm gonna be using an iPhone 4 and more often then not, a first gen iTouch that ill leave plugged in. the transit iSimple just didn't send anything to the subs and i have it wired off the stock sub too, so if the stock got any then my alpine would too but it must just not deliver lows.
