iSimple HELP!!
I just recently bought my 05 TL no navi that already has a syatem in it and the isimple conection. Everytime i plug my ipod in it doesnt play. I contacted the guy i bought it off of and he suggest i check the connections and told me to play it on xm chanel 1. Im not sure of the specifics with the isimple but i only have one cord coming from the box that goes to my ipod and one that goes to the back plug in. Whne i select the xm radio mode the xm preview comes on. Does this mean i need to register for xm radio or what. When i plug the cord in it regiosters on my ipod and starts charging but wont play the song. Also all the tabs on the side of my box 1-4 are in the up position. Do i have to set that to anything different. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

when you press the XM button you have to turn the knob ( right one ) to left or right to select "ipod, or aux 1 ,aux 2" --you'll have a few seconds to do this before you can't change it.
If you want to change it, you'll have to go back to am/fm/disc,..then select XM one again and turn the knob.

If what flyromeo3 suggested doesn't help, you may need to reset the iSimple.

Mine didn't open completely like the PDF shows, but I was able to get in there with a thin screwdriver.

Yup. When you first access the XM1, turn the tune knob and see if it switches to iPod, Aux 1, Aux 2, etc. Once you get it on iPod, then let it be for a few seconds until you see some playlist stuff start to appear. You need to let it sit until the selector function times out and you end up in iPod mode.
The other useful feature is the Disp/Mode button that will show you different stuff on your screen - you can choose from song, artist, etc.
