When entering browse mode, is there any way to scroll backwards? Is there a firmware update that includes this? What I mean is lets say you go to artists, and I want to go to "the weeknd"(shameless plug but man hes a great artist), instead of scrolling down from A all the way to W, I want to be able to go backwards and go from A to the #'s to Z's and so on. Right now I can't do this but is there a firmware update that allows this? If not i'd be very disappointed. I have the ISHD-571.

 

not to sure, but i just use AUX mode, and control everything from the iPod.

 

I suppose that would be a solution...although the reason I got this was so i wouldn't have wires all over the place.

 

I contacted them and they suggested that I disconnect the ipod, browse to the artist, then reconnect the ipod.

I have an insane amount of music so this is kind of a dealbreaker for me. It's annoying because other than that I love the isimple.

Is there any product out there that's similar to the isimple, but allows better browsing. What would be ideal would be going into browse mode, then scroling to artist, pressing preset 6 to go into artist, then instead of listing artists, list the alphabet. Then you scroll to the letter, press preset 6, then list the artists that begin with that letter. Now that's in a perfect world. Anyone know of something that does that? Or at least something that wraps around and lets me go from A to Z without having to go through the whole alphabet.

 

Well I came up with a solution. Just go to itunes, select all the artists that begin with a certain letter and right click and click get info. Then change the genre for all those artists to the first letter of each artists. So all the artists whose name begins with A, change that genre to A. Now on the isimple, instead of browsing through artists, scroll to genre then browse to the letter, press preset 6, then you can scroll to the artist. But you'll only have to scroll through a few artists as opposed to like a billion. This would be for people who have many artists in their ipod like I do.
