Ipod link installed from dealer...

Has anyone got this or had it done? I'm considering it because I recently just bought an Ipod. Does it stay in the glove box...is it worth it? How well does it work through the radio controls? Thanks for any input!

I had the music link put in and it seems to work pretty good. The problem with mine is I have a 3rd gen iPod so its not displaying the name of the song and group.

I'm getting one installed this Sunday and I have a nano. I'll let you know my impressions then.

Is this the 2nd-gen Music Link which shows the contents of your iPod on the navi screen/display with full control ?

Any updates? My sister just got an 04' TL with Navi and I'm interested in getting this for her. Does it work well?

To the best of my knowledge, none of the MusicLinks show the iPod contents on the Navi screen. The minute that happens, I am in. I suspect MusicLink will never do this, but I would also bet heavily that by the 09 redesign the TL will offer this feature. Indeed, I suspect by then most better cars will.

That said, I just picked up my 07 TL-S yesterday and let me tell you, the improvements made to the sound system are awesome. The Dolby Pro-Logic makes CDs and XM sound so much better, and I am really enjoying the MP3 disc functionality. I also have my iPod plugged in through the aux connection, but I haven't been using that too much yet.

Maybe on the 4G TL ?

Ford will introduce "Sync" on 2008 Ford and Mercury models. The Acura Music Link would become obsolete if Honda/Acura added something like this using USB 2.0 ports.
