Dont know if this has been asked, but i did a search and nothing relevant showed up.

Does the 04-06 TL have an auxillary jack for a mp3 player like the ipod? Do the song titles show up on the unit if there is one?

I know the 07 TL has the jack, i see it in the brochure. Does the 07 show the titles of songs too?

Offtopic, but does the 3gTL play mp3 files on cd? thanks in advance, cant wait till i finally get a tl.

 

Aux jacks became standard beginning in the '07 TL. These jacks carry sound and little to no data. Therefore, track titles will not appear on the head unit (when a device is connected to the aux jack).

MP3 and CD Text support also began with the '07 TL. I believe file names for MP3s appear on the screen, and not ID3 Tags.

The factory iPod interface is not very popular on here. There is currently only one aftermarket iPod interface that will display track information on the factory head unit: Dice iPod Interface with Text Display.

thanks for answering that question on the mp3 jack i currently have the 02,05 and just purchased the 07 model and i know the 07 model has it but wasnt sure if it was something i could get done to the 05 which i like alot more. and congrads to the new guy getting a tl youll be a happy guy i am
