I got the wire at radio shack for like 10 bucks, it's plug and play.there is nothing to really install but I'm gonna drill a small hole in my top console so i can run the wire through and leave my itouch in the top part. the wire hanging out of the bottom part pisses me off.........

I might be misunderstanding your post, but jic, I want to let you know that there is actually a hole in the rear driver's side corner of the top compartment of the center console precisely for what I think you want to do. This way, you don't have to drill a hole from the bottom to the top portion of the center console.

*This applies, of course, if I have read your post right. If you already knew about the hole, then disregard.

really, where exactly is this hole??do you have to remove changetray or pull up the lining? i'm f'in up my adapter closing the bottom part on the wire. It was cold here and I was lazy so I didn't want to mess with anything but I guess in this case it paid off as i prob would've drilled a hole for no reason then read this and kicked myself in the ass.......

thanks again

open the top compartment and its near the driver side of the tray. Its located towards the back and is rather discrete.
