Ipod Help (My first post)
Hey guys, im new here but have been doing alot of reading. I just got a 2006 TL, im picking it up sometime this week and im trying to learn about it before I get it. Can I connect my ipod with an aux. cable or is there no input for that? Its a 06 without Navi.

I don't believe the 06 had the aux input. I had to buy an adapter to connect into the head unit to connect my ipod. Look here for more info on adapters: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-audio-bluetooth-electronics-navigation-94/3g-tl-audio-electronics-faq-605299/

Here's an example of what the installation of an iPod module will take in an '06: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-audio-bluetooth-electronics-navigation-94/i-160-usa-spec-install-633080/. It's not that hard, but it will take a little time and patience. Nevertheless, it is well worth it to have a better integration (including steering wheel control) than an aux hook in would allow.

Yea im 17 and this is my second car, by far the nicest lol. 2006 TL, white with 24,000 miles on it, certified used so it in amazing condition, absolutly love it. Payed in cash so its a done deal, no loans to worry about. Ill have to look into that, would I have to rip the interior apart?

You'll want to check out the link given or do a search. You take some of the interior out but it's all on the driver's side- no need to take radio or glovebox out.
I spent about 4 hours doing the install, but could probably do it in 1-2 hours a second time. The hardest thing for me was prying off the driver's aluminum trim piece because I was worried about bending it. Once that trim piece was off the next hardest thing was plugging in the adapter plug to the back of the radio. Putting everything back together was pretty simple. I located the adaptor module under the driver's seat so I can easily change the settings from CDC to Nav mode. The other advantage to the Ipod interface is it also charges the Ipod as well. This was the best mod done for me besides the swaybar.

I just picked up a certified pre-owned '07 TL-S a few months ago, and am looking to add an iPod adapter as my first mod. Any suggestions on the best way to go about doing this - since I'm new to this? I've got the Navi system, and am not certain if there is a built-in aux adapter already that I could plug the iPod Touch into? I would love to be able to control it via the steering wheel buttons and see the song titles on the Navi screen. Any suggestions / tips would be greatly appreciated. Love the car - it's my second Acura. My 17 year-old son gets to drive my '02 CL-S now...
