Is there any update for the iPhone and navi to have an interface for music or whatever? I haven't upgraded my navi for three years (08'). On that note, is it worth it to upgrade for me? I don't travel out of my local area very often, so I don't really care too much about updated new roadways. Mostly curious if there is any update for interface for phones or music, etc...?

No we can't stream music from the iPhone/Android to the car's stereo system via bluetooth.

You can however buy an iPod/iPhone kit that will allow you to connect your device to the car and play music. I just installed a USA SPEC kit in my car so now I can stream music from Spotify to my car's stereo system.

Look up the iSimple or the USA SPEC kit. The navi upgrade DVD's only provide maps, nothing else.

I have no idea why people have been saying you can't stream audio.

 

I bought a $5 mini phono to mini phone jack from Amazon, and it works perfectly to connect my iPod to the Aux section of the radio.
