iphone and music link

I just finished a search with no luck, but I have an I phone and was wondering what the best way to use the ipod portion of the phone and still keep the phone functionality sound. I would love to have the music link installed but if I had to put the phone in airplane mode to use it then that would be no good. By the way I have an '06 tl with nave. Thanks very much.

you just have to say "NO" when the pop-up message states whether you want to go into airplane mode...

You do know that once you connect the iphone to the music link... it iphone is locked out... you can NOT use the phone to chose music etc...

There is a new version of the DICE unit called the "SILVER" that works great with the new generation ipods and iphone... please check the sponsored black market section of these forums to further information... https://acurazine.com/forums/sponsored-sales-group-buys-10/2008-dice-ipod-integration-kits-new-features-exclusive-pricing-380640/

Good Luck

I drive an 08 (RBP Navi) and don't need to place my iPhone in airplane mode to use my factory AUX jack to use the iPod function through the sound system. There is no affect on the sound quality.

I also use my iPhone with a Bose sound dock at my office. Though I am prompted to place the phone in airplane mode when using that device, I keep the phone function active and don't notice a significant impact on sound quality. You may wish to try this approach in your TL and see if your observation is similar to my experience with the sound dock.

Well, in my case it may be a little bit different (as I'm using an iPod touch, instead of the iPhone), but I have an 08 TL, so I'm using the AUX 1/8" (3.5mm) connection found in the armrest/center console. One new addition I just bought is a Belkin in-car power charger that has a 1/8" (3.5mm) out. So I plug into that to charge, as well as play music directly to my built in Acura stereo head.

This is the product I'm using, and even though it doesn't say iPod touch compatible, my iPod works fine with this product: http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProdu...duct_Id=193794

I'll try to check with a friend's iPhone someday and give an update.
