Post iPhone/iPod Use in vehicle

I am wanting to use my iphone as my ipod in my 04' tl but am not sure if I can run a connection from the back of the stock navi/stereo setup. Anyone running this setup? I dont want to go through a radio station or a tape or anything like that. Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'll give you the answer, but for future knowlegde, there is a FAQ listed at the top of the Audio Section where you can find tons of info.

There are adapters that directly connect into the back of the radio, they all work, but have different attributes:

USA-SPEC HON2Y - this allows full control from ipod and radio, retains XMbut no ipod text. This also has RCA AUX input for another device
DICE R3//R4 - this allows full control from ipod and radio, you can retain XM, but no text, or get rid of XM and have text. This has a 3.5mm headphone jack for an aux input
